Jim Barlow, Eastern Region Technical Manager, Intel
Jim Barlow is a 25-year veteran of the IT industry and its suppliers. For the last 14 years, Jim has worked with Intel in a variety of technical and consulting positions. Currently Jim is the Eastern Region Technical Manager for commercial end-user customers, with a current focus on the hardware acceleration of virtualized software environments. Prior to working for Intel, Jim was an Industry Consultant and Unix Specialist for Siemens.

Andy Drooker is the Director of Operations, Infrastructure and Business Applications with The Weather Channel Interactive, Incorporated, which operates weather.com, the website of The Weather Channel and supports their leading Desktop and Mobile weather applications. Andy and his team support websites in the area of Vacation Home Rentals (forGetaway.com), Forecast Earth and recently launched International weather based websites. In addition, Andy has responsibility over internally used technology for business processes, databases and business improvement initiatives.
Prior to joining The Weather Channel Interactive in 2006, Andy spent fifteen years with Turner Broadcasting, where he last served as Vice President of Network Systems Architecture and Research and Development.
Daniel Faile, Linux Specialist, Novell
Daniel Faile has over 10 years experience designing and implementing UNIX and Linux IT infrastructure projects for large financial institutions, and various other members of the Fortune 500, as both an employee and consultant. Daniel has led architecture, engineering design, and technical process implementation projects for various employers.
Currently as a Senior Linux Specialist for Novell, Daniel works with clients to help them get the most value out of their Linux and Open Source projects. His technical background is extremely diverse and ranges from architecture and engineering, to data center operations.
John Humphreys, Program Vice President, Enterprise Platforms, IDC
John Humphreys is a Program VP with IDC's Enterprise Platform Group where he heads up the Enterprise Virtualization Software program covering the range of virtualization products deployed in both data center and client environments. The program also examines the role of manageability in the emerging virtual environment. Additional areas of focus include the adoption of blade servers, the modularization of the data center along with the automation and virtualization of the data center environment, and the emergence of grid computing in the enterprise.
Prior to joining IDC, John worked in the energy industry where he combined his geological and geophysical background along with an interest in unconventional exploration opportunities to develop risk profiles, technical and financial models for a wide range of projects, including a division portfolio analysis, strategic analysis related to company positioning, and complex reservoir development programs. His interest technology and in examining emerging market opportunities is what led John to IDC in 1999.
John received a B.A and M.S. from Miami University and University of Wyoming respectively.
Ron Milton, Executive Vice President, Computerworld
Ron manages the events business, strategic alliances and awards programs for IT executive titles and IT management in storage networking, mobile and wireless, infrastructure/data center, business intelligence and green IT market sectors. Milton leads the team responsible for creating content, sponsor sales, operations, marketing and audience development for all of Computerworld's events, such as brands like Premier 100 IT Leaders®, Storage Networking World®, Mobile & Wireless World®, Infrastructure Management World®, Business Intelligence Perspectives®, Green IT Symposium® and 30-40 IT Executive Summits and Executive Roundtables per year. He is also responsible for the same businesses at InfoWorld® and the Computerworld Honors Program®.
He has 25 years of experience in information technology, serving in both vendor and information services management positions. Before his current role at IDG, Ron was Senior Vice President of CXO Media and General Manager of CIO Magazine's Executive Program Division. Prior to joining Computerworld in 1999, he was President and CEO of IDG's Internet Commerce (ICE) business unit, which he founded in 1996 as a start-up business, and was a pioneer in using e-commerce systems and web marketing. He was a 1996 recipient of the coveted IDG Chairman's Award for the most successful start-up business globally. Before joining IDG, Milton spent five years as Vice President/Partner of GLA computer Systems, a software developer and channel integrator with market share leadership in wholesale travel solutions. Prior to GLA, he also held a variety of management positions in channel management, field sales and marketing at Honeywell Information Systems and Bull HN. He holds degrees from Concordia University and Sir George Williams University.
Monty O'Kelley,
Director of Technology, Licensing and Customer Advocacy,
Microsoft
Monty O’Kelley is the Technical Director for the Customer Advocacy and Licensing Group. He is responsible for the education and evangelism around Microsoft’s historic alliance with Novell as that alliance relates to the Technical Calibration. The technical portions of the agreement include Virtualization, tighter integration and Interop between Windows and SUSE, integration and enhancement of System Management tools from both companies, and document exchange formats.
Monty has over 24 years of UNIX experience and has extensive experience with systems architecture and integration, with a focus on enterprises class systems and workstations. He has managed UNIX migrations for Intel and Dell. Before joining Microsoft, Monty worked as UNIX presales and technical lead for Digital Equipment Corporation, where he focused on UNIX and Microsoft Windows NT. He also worked as Director of Technology and lead evangelist at HBO and Company, a global health care independent software vendor (ISV).
